Charles Lloyd Quartet
Featuring: Reuben Rogers, Jason Moran & Eric Harland
"Charles Lloyd’s approach to performance is quite different. The more Lloyd goes inside himself the more he draws his audience in. With Jason Moran on piano, Eric Harland on drums, and Reuben Rogers on bass, Lloyd once again has a group able to follow his excursions into the music and into the mystic. Ben Allison, bass
Steve Cardenas, guitar
Ron Horton, trumpet
Michael Blake, saxophones
Michael Sarin, drums
Man Size Safe, Ben's latest group, pushes the boundaries once again -- this time with a cinematic, rock-meets-Americana sound. The band mixes joyous exuberance and good-humored irreverence with textured grooves and an occasional political jab.

Les Mystère de Voix Bulgares
Perfectly suited to the acoustics of Town Hall, "Le Mystère des Voix Bulgares” is a women’s vocal ensemble with a rich history and a rare artistic gift. Their un-amplified voices carry traditional Bulgarian music to a realm beyond the human voice, dissolving the separation between East and West, new and old, popular and classical music.
Presented by Earshot Jazz & KBCS
Town Hall Seattle, at 8th and Seneca, Seattle
$24 ($22 Earshot Members, seniors and students)
Tickets available through Earshot Jazz (206) 547-6763 and online, and through Ticketmaster (206) 628-0888 and
